It′s time again to get together for discussing recent innovations in respiratory medicine and their application for enhancing the quality of care for patients. In continuation of our efforts towards continuing professional development, Bangladesh Lung Foundation is organizing the 5th International Conference on Lung Health - PULMOCON 2017 on 14-17 November, 2017 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
We are drawing up an attractive program which will enable participants to comprehend the present challenges and gain insight into the latest breakthroughs in the management of respiratory illnesses.
State of the art approaches to Asthma COPD, Interstitial Lung Diseases, Sleep Apnea, pulmonary rehabilitation and newly emerging respiratory infections will be expounded. Pragmatic approaches to combat environmental pollution and tobacco menace will be highlighted. The exciting developments in the fight against drug-resistant TB (MDR, pre-XDR and XDR), particularly introduction of new drugs i.e. bedaquiline and delaminid and the nine month shortened "Bangladesh Regimen" will be discussed. A wide variety of contemporary themes have also been included.
We have invited a multitude of distinguished experts in various fields from different corners of the globe to grace the conference. This will provide participants with an excellent opportunity to have thorough interaction with the invited faculty.

An exhibition featuring the latest information, products, equipment and educational materials in respiratory disease will be held in the lobby of conference venue. Entrance to the exhibition is free for all registered participants.
Local Conference Committee are not responsible for personal accidents or damages to the private property of registered participants. It is suggested that participants make their own arrangements.
Letters of invitation to facilitate visa application and immigration procedures in certain countries will be sent upon request. It must be understood that such letters do not imply any financial or other support from the Conference Organizing Committee.
Registration kit and other materials would be distributed to the participants on 14 November, 2017 between 11am to 4pm from the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) Dhaka-Bangladesh and also from conference venue on 15 and 16 November, 2017.

All teas and lunches shall be served at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Dhaka.
The conference Inaugural ceremony and Valedictory Ceremony will be held on 15 November and on 16 November, 2017 at main convention hall in Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Dhaka. Both the ceremonies would be reserved for invited guests and registered participants only.
All participants are encouraged to attend the venue in due time. First 150 punctual participants will receive attractive prizes.
Dhaka, formerly spelled Dacca, named Jahangirnagar during Mughal era is the capital of Bangladesh. Dhaka is a megacity and one of the major cities of South Asia. Colourful rickshaws (Tricycle) on the city streets are common attractions for the visitors. Some of the outstanding attractions of Dhaka for visit are Lalbagh Fort, Ahsan Manzil Museum, Martyr's Memorial, Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban (Parliament), High Court, National Museum etc.
